I've found bouning it off the rev limiter twice in each gear is the way to go
lmao...bouncing it off the limiter. well, i was just wondering where to shift, what rpm range, guess ill have to go to the track and find out.

from what i've been told 5600rpm is the peak hp, it would be useless to wait any longer, but i always shirt around 5800-6000 if im racing.

its not useless to shift after
actually you should shift after at the point where the rpms drop into your peak power again
I shifted right at 6500 every time and ran a 15.7 stock. So now that's where I shift.

"Hey man is that a Cavalier?" "Yeah." What you got in it?" "It's stock." "Oh."

I shift at 6500 rpm as well. I was always told to shift right before the rev limiter. You can always play around with it. Just make sure to shift before the rev limiter.
ok, when i get my tach ill set the shift light to 6k, and play with it from there...but i agree, shifting a bit after peak hp so when rpms drop a bit, you will be close to peak hp.
