how much would it cost to have a 2.4 block bored .020 over and machined to fit the 2.3l oil pump??

but how much does that cost? what is involve?
To do the oil pump conversion, they have to drill a new oil feed gallery, plug the old one off, drill two holes to bolt the oil pump down, press a sleve into the one new oil gallery, then you have to mount the windage tray, and do some grinding and fitting and welding to the oil pan to make it all fit. Not really sure how much I paid, I had a lot of engine work done when mine was put all together, but it may be quite a bit.

yeah welding the oil pan alone is an intricate task I would never want to take on. You have to be really careful not to warp the soft aluminum pan...that would make it junk on the spot.

Yeah and buy a new pump. Cheapest I have found thus far is www.summitracing.com at $104 and some change.
