This could be a stupid question, but is there a difference between a 2.4L strut bar and a 2.2L strut bar?? I found a deal on a 2.4L strut bar and own a 2.2, and am curious to find out if it will fit ok?
I remember hearing something about the hood not closing or something? I can't see there being a difference bewteen the 2 strut mounts.
Any insight?
Thanks guys.

I`m pretty sure its an exact match, no difference in the body. They stiffen up the front end alot you'll be happy with this upgrade.

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
If its the kind that have a bow in it, its going to hit your throttle body (trust me, been through this...).

If it is the Vibrant Performance front STB, it wont fit. I found the GM STB @
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com for $44.33 +S&H. This is about the least expensive one that fits the '95-'97 2.2L that I've been able to find, short of e-bay or used.

does the GM STB help handling as much as an aftermarket would? I can get a Ractive front STB for $35

I'm waiting on mine to come in, but from what I've read on here so far, yes they work just as well. It may not be the shinny aluminum piece, just as long as it does the job. As far as the Reactive for $35, if it's complete and it fits go for it!

if i don't get the ractive one, i'll buy the GM one and just have it polished.
