So first some things to consider for individual throttle bodies.
Where to get the flange for the intake? GM has one as does Exploited.
Where to get the ITB's? Out of a motorcycle! GSXR 1000 ot CBR throttle bodies would work good.
Fab me up some sections of piping to go from the flange to the ITB's.
Figure out the throttle cable and other little sensors and I am set.
And I just confirmed this, that the injectors do not attach to the manifold on the ECO. So basically all I would have to deal with is the TPS, MAP, and IAC?
Not too hard?
Anyone attempt this yet?

Doesn look to hard.

awesome... you would start making horsepower right at redline!!!! Seriously though... you would need every other N/A mod in the book and then some before this mod would be beneficial...

Can somebody give me some supporting evidence? Its like the whole ECOTEC cam thing, it seems for the most part that some people arent seeing any REAL gains until almost redline.
Doesnt stop them.
You would do it for other reasons, ie.............throttle response.

what diameter is each tb ??
awsome work but how can you hook the tps and the other sensor ( dont know his name ) to the bike tb ??

Thats not my work.
I dunno, I am getting a set of GSXR 750 throttle bodies right now, and when I get them I will figure it out. I am on Honda-Tech.com seeing how they do it. They attach a adapter plate for the IAC, a plate with nipples. I dunno, I am seeing what they have done, and how I can use it on the ECO.
Gotta get the ITB's first.
The TPS? The honda guys use adapter plates and fit it to the common throttle linkage on the bike's ITB's. A little adjustemnt to spec and your good to go on that.

it would look really cool though

Not sure if this will help, but might look here:

I emailed them awhile ago, but have since lost the email, I think they said the Individual TB's would or could be made to work with the cavalier's ecotec
get the internals for the 2.0 liter GM uses...they spin thier drag engine to 10,000 rpm. then that set up would be useful. oh well...even if it totally dogs the engine out...it will look really good.

I found out the size of the GSXR 750 throttles, depending on who you ask .........low side is 40mm and high is 42mm.
So.
The equivalent single TB intake area of a quad TB is 2 X the diameter of one of its ports, I copied that from a site I found.
So. I would be looking at having basically a 80mm throttle body.
Kinda overkill, but the engine will take only what it can. So nice to have some overhead.

they actually work really well , even for street use
Are you planning on using a stock pcm with this?
Yes. The honda guys use stock fuel injection. They do use SAFC's or similar to fine tune the fuel.

Also another thing. Exploited has an intake flange for like half of what the GM part is. I have heard several conflicting things about Exploited. Think I would be safe ordering up a simple flange?

And where the crap am I gonna put the MAP sensor?

I got to be honest here. I ask a simple couple of questions, and get no answers. While threads that have been posted 11ty billion times are getting the attention. I am trying to do something different for the community and I cant get any help.
Should I rename the thread to:
"OMG NEon wings spoilers NOS mufflers exhaust yO PICS inside?"

your doing something that has not been done here so who do you expect to help?

"Growing old is mandatory. Growing up? Definitely optional."
I may be wrong on this, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that tuning a ITB properly is harder than tuning a turbocharger correctly.
I think what your doing is pretty cool and it is a better setup than a single throttle body. I wish I could help you on the computer end of things but I don't know much. But I do know motorcycles and their map sensors are in the airbox before the itb's. Its shielded in some way, shape, or form based on the airboxes design. Tuning them isn't hard at all. Designing to work well is a different story. You have to do the math and set them at a certain distance away from the cc., as well as have the right size tb. I'll see if I can find my books with some info you could use.

Well somebody could answer the question on Exploited. Thats what I mean by help. I will figure out most of it, just wanna find out if the flange from Exploited is easy to get?
2006 Cobalt SS I/H/E ZZP S2 HPT 2.8/60's Etc...13.8@105(I need to learn how to launch)
I might be able to answer the Map sensor question. If you go with a Split Second Air Fuel Calibrator, they have a 2 bar map sensor built into their unit that replaces the stock map sensor.
As for Exploited, ask them to send it COD
Hope that helps and good luck with the project
