I have a 1997 z24......anyway I thru the bearing in the first motor( completly my fualt, should have thought about what I was doing).......I just got a motor put in from a 2000 model z24 (I was under warenty) the motor has 101,000 miles on it. it pulls strong but before we put it in you could see some of the seals were kind of wearing, not a big problem though. My question is should I just rebuild this motor or buy one with less miles on it and rebuild that while this one is just a daily driver.......I plan to boost it with a turbo.......any advice would be helpful.
if your planning on boost, i would rebuild the motor with stronger internals, especially if its already out of the car. that way your motor can be built to handle the power.
so buying a second motor would be the best bet for the long run?
