hey whats the hp in a 91 3.1 cav and a 2002 sunfire gt 2.4 which has more ???

2002 Sunfire/Cavalier 2.4's have 130hp at the wheels 150hp at the crank.

2.4 has more hp, 3.1 makes more torque.

3.1=140hp-180tq

That's funny I could have sworn that the old 3.1's had 160 HP

3.1 175HP & 195TQ
2.4 150HP & 155TQ

cavs and sunbirds never had a 3.1 that put out more than 140hp and 180tq as far as I know.

the 3.1 (gen II 60*v6) which was available in 90-94 cavs and 91-94 sunbirds was rated
@140 hp and 185 lb-ft
the 3100( gen III 60*v6) which was available in many cars (but not cavalier, sunbird) from 1994 on has made between 155-170 hp depending on year and model.
