Anyone know of an adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator for a 95 2.2 OHV?
I saw some listed for the 2.4 on a search, but nothing for the mighty 2.2...
Thanks in advance.

I wonder how much difficult it is to use that fpr on a 2.2 or if it is a direct bolt on? Anyone ever used this before?

It's a bolt on replcement. I've looked up the part numbers before for the stock replacement FPRs and the numbers were the same for the '95-'97 2.2L and the '92-'96 Corvette LT-1. Accel's adjustable FPR part # is 74565(97.95 @
http://www.summitracing.com #ACC-74565) which is good for N/A or Nitrous. For boosted Applications get the Aeromotive FPR(# AEI-13106 @ Summit for $154.95), this one is a billet aluminum FPR that is heavy duty. The Aeromotive one could be used on N/A, but would be over kill, unless you just want the looks of billet.
with some work you can use an aeomotive fpr they are the best
I used an LT1 regulator from Ebay. The "hat" and the clamp which retains it are all you really need. I cut the top off my stock regulator, removed the hat and the clamp from the LT1 regulator, and installed them on the 2.2 part. I had to cut the spring which goes between the diaphragm and the adjustment mechanism in order to reduce fuel pressure below 35 psi, but it works without any problems.

I'm guessing this would work for the 2200 as well?

All that is correct. The Accel is a direct replacement, no modifications needed.

Nope. Different fuel rail.
I know Chris ( Agent Omega) Fit a B&M FPR from a civic onto his 2200...migh want to shoot him a message.

my opinion is, if you are buying fuel system modifications, do it right. aeromotive fpr is the only way to go.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
Thanks for the info guys. Another question for you all.....What is a good fuel pressure to start with? Stock it is what 35-40psi with key on engine running. Well thanks for the info...off to do more searching.
Elkahosso
i see in your profile you are planning on building your motor, higher compression, etc. you don't need any higher fuel pressure other than stock until that point. either way, you really have no need for an FPR until that point either.

I do realize that at this point upping my fuel is not a neccesity. I am just trying to get things together and written down so when I need to order parts and such I don't have to search again.
Elkahosso
elkahosso and I are doing the same thing... LOL
I'm not going to need the extra fuel for a while, either. But my problem is that I need to actually REPLACE some stuff now... My car is a DD so I have to keep it on the road.
Right now my mileage is suffering anyhow from clogged injectors, a bad FPR or something. I've talked to many people about this and no one has a good answer for me, so I'm going to start replacing stuff. Cheaper parts first, then the expensive stuff.
The car deserves it anyhow... She has 147,000 original miles on her!
Next major project is an engine rebuild from the block up.
Thanks to all for your help, btw...

Try Highrev if U can get ahold of them?
Steve: I picked up an adj. FPR from a Chevy dealership in Oregon -- they were closing them out. Oh how I LOVE Google!!
I paid about $70 for it shipped. It is an Accel unit (brand new) from an LT1 (92-96) vette. I have a fuel pump coming as well from a guy here on JBO, then on to the injectors if those items don't work...
Thanks to all for your help and suggestions!
