So the car starts right up but no gears engage (its a 5 speed), just revs. Without the clutch pushed , you can move the shifter through gears and it won't move. Also you can have your foot off the clutch and it doesn't stall. Anyone know what it could be?
Sounds like a broken or detached linkage. The transmission happens to be in neutral which is why it will start. I had a 90 Z24 with the 3.1 way back. The torque was great and one area where the 3rd gens can't compete. The torque steer was quite noticeable though manageable.
