Whats up guys. The September meet was a success. It was a very fun evening. I want to start planning a meet for us for the month of October, most likely late October. It will most likely be on a Saturday. Let me know what dates you are available and how far you are willing to drive . I'd like to have a daytime meet but we can push it back and make it an afternoon meet if necessary. Let me know what you guys think.
On a sidenote, JDMCavy it was very nice meeting you and seeing your Cavy in person.

Haha of course you are welcome to join. I'm in this local "GM" club and we're the ones who will be hosting this meet. But I am also part of another multi-car club that has imports, muscle cars, european cars, etc. We hope to have all the details ironed out in the next few days so we can announce an official date and time.

It's cool Jux. I'm not getting much feedback from locals so I don't think this meet will take place. There will be a couple of other October meets and I'm going to post them here and hope that some local guys stop by and visit us.
October 13th, 7pm - Hooters @ FM1960 and I-45 intersection. We're having our usual Chewy Balls pre meet here. Last month there was a 8th gen Civic club there holding a pre meet of their own. Some of the guys who showed up were Freddy, KingCavy, Josh C and his gang, Corey from DFW Cobaltss.net, and a few more of my buddies. We saw Moleman later in the night as well as a few other cool Cobalt/TTF guys.

I haven't spoken to him in 4 or 5 years. I miss all of the original houston jbo members. I miss them a lot. I e-mailed a few of them earlier this year but got no replies.
The current Houston crew has about 8 or 9 Cavys and a handful of Cobalts and Grand AMs and G5s. It's a totally 100% new crowd. We are slowly building up a great group of guys.
I've notified a bunch of peeps over the phone and the meet is on for the 13th.

we use to come up there a lot but then Eric got rid of his cavy and so we didn't have a floor to sleep on anymore. But yea I would definatley like to meet up there to help yall get the GM's of h-town going strong

We don't have a weekly meet yet. Right now we just meet up every 3 weeks or so. Oct13th is the next one
After that, the next one will probably be in early November.

The meet we are having on the 13th is a pre-meet. We cruise to another meet called Chewy Bawls which is a big Houston scene.
Mark, i kind have been in the shadows ever since school started, I want to put time aside to help the club get going. If you want I can post a thread on H-I to try and recruit some more members. Let me know if you guys need some help.
cool that sounds great. good to see this unfold for you guys in houston. I will dowhat I can to help you guys grow. As for the 13th that is too soon I won't have my car back by then. but maybe the meet in november will be more suitable for me. Thought I could take the sunfire.

David, I completely understand. School takes up a lot of time and it's better to take care of business and then have fun later. The CB pre-meet/meet is pretty much a mainstay for us now. That way people will have an easier time finding us. I think we should eventually try establishing a "SW" or south side meet for us too. Maybe we can start going to the southside Teaworks meet every other Friday. I dunno. We'll talk about it this Saturday and next Sat.
