[quote=Ozzie]im still trying to figure out how you blew the welds off your intake...
I actually did. when I had pulled out my plastic intake manifold to put the SAAB one in I found that it was cracked on the plastic intake welds
oh AND wasp
NO way. not for a while this motor has taken it out of me. I am exhausted SO many measurements and clearance checks then having to get all the parts. and find out I need others. I will be so glad when it is done. that is why I went ahead and spent more then expected on it to make sure it never has to come apart again.
Eco you should have seen the LS1 I built about a year ago for my fiero that motor tired me out. It also drained my bank acount until there was nothing left.
I can definatley to see where your coming from.
In the end though its so worth it, more boost or a good N/A build(my LS1) takes time but in then the smile can only get wider.

my theory is if modding takes longer during the process then it will be better in the long run
That's the truth. You don't measure or gauge once you do it at least 20 times. Plus taking your time you really learn to appreciate the vehivle itself when its down.
yea and torque ever bolt that is put with the oem torque number
I don't know I said torque.
So true I remember I went and bought an electric torque wrench specifically so I don't overtorque anything, best 100 buck I've spent on a tool. You just put in the torque numbers you need and then start wrenching it starts to beep when you've got the right spec.
kool, get it done before july of next year and bring it to the big bash in ohio. me and pj will want to race you. got huge plans for the eco and ive already got quite a few parts for it
