pull yourself salvage yards in OKC area
Tuesday, July 10, 2007 10:17 AM
Does anyone know of any pull it yourself salvage yards in the OKC area OTHER than Pull a Part? I've been there a couple times in the last month, they have a couple J-bodies, but nothing newer than a 97, most are nearly stripped, and none of them have decent interiors (doors/windows/trunks tend to get left opened). Thanks.

Yea, tulsa for some reason seems to have alot of stuff the capitol of the state doesn't. Makes me wish I had a pickup and a week off so I could make the trip and browse some yards. I need a driver side coupe seat BADLY, the back of mine is all jacked up from my ex flopping in it whenever she drove the car (she was a significant woman). Hence I have wire poking out the fabric in the back, and a hunk of metal poking me below the shoulder blade.
Would love a full set of Z seats, but if I WAS able to find them here, it'd cost an arm and a leg.

I have a decent set of Sunfire GT seats at my parents house somewhere unless my dad got rid of them. I believe they're either charcoal or gray (leaning toward charcoal), haven't really paid attention to my back seats esp. since I sold the car. I installed racing seats a 1 1/2 years ago and kept my old seats just in case. I live in Norman but if I can get the seats next time I go home you can meet me and pick them up.

If those seats are from a coupe (I'm not very conversant with the Sunfire trim levels), I would be exceedingly interested in them. PM me to work out some details (costwise and so forth), if you can hold onto them for a while, I am strapped for the rest of the month unfortunately. And if you have the backseat to match, that would be beyond ideal. <anticipates comfort of non-broken driver seat>

And Norman is nothing as far as a drive. I drive from NW 23rd/Rockwell, up to NW 87th/Classen to pickup a coworker, then from there to SE 59th/Sunnylane to work. Something like 25-28 miles one way. But yea, PM me or email me or whatever, and we'll hash something out.

I don't have the backseat (went with the car). And I really have no need for them so if you can come pick them up they're yours. I'll be going to visit my parents next weekend so I can grab them then.

No problem.

That sounds like a helluva deal. I am pretty sure I can stuff them into my backseat area somehow. I definitely thank you.
