Tuesday, October 17, 2006 12:18 PM

Hey,

I am being sent to S.A in Feb for 3 weeks for work (Construction Manager). Anyway
I never been to Texas before and have no Idea what to do there. I will be staying at
the "Marriott River walk".

Anybody got any info on the area

Weather in Feb, Decent places to eat, Things to do?
Websites just promote the same tourist stuff, I'm looking
for the cool stuff they don't advertise (Local Restaurants, ETC)

Well, In Maryland the temp is around 20 degrees in Feb during the day, single digits
at night. I hope it's not that cold in S.A

I am up for just about anything and since I got work paying all expenses. I can pretty much
go anywhere. I get $200 per day for food & expenses. (Not including the room). The room
is covered already.

Sounds like there is enough there to keep me busy at night, No way I can sit in my room
and be bored

Is there a golds gym close by chance?

if you're a club goer lemme know and i'll give you a list of the locals...

$200 is a bit much per day tho...

temperature in feb is ALOT warmer than 20° i can tell ya that much....

hey, It's a work policy. I am not goona bitch about $200 a day free money. I am supposed
to use some of it to promote the company (Take out Clients, ETC). I do not get to keep
anything if it is left over though. So it's use it or lose it.

Well the last couple places I have been sent to have all sucked. Just stuck out in
the middle of nowhere on a construction site. This is the first time I am being sent
to a decent city.

I am interested in all kinds of stuff, Architecture, History, Bars,...Just about anything.

I am a golds member, I already got a bag full of travel passes. I was just woundering if
there was one close. The hotel has a gym but typically hotel gyms are crap.

there should be a gold's somewhere close. if not there are like 10 within 10 miles of that area. there's alot of stuff to do here. dont get hyped up about the riverwalk tho, most people get let down alot.
