are there any Houston based J clubs? and after reading some previous posts.. do I have to have a certain KIND of J body?? seems funny, that only certain types of J bodies are allowed in J body groups. I have an 84 Skyhawk that I am trying to have a little fun with. We just retired the wifes Sunbird.

You dont have to have a certain J-body, but seems like cavaliers are the well-liked and trendy Jbodies around. The sunfire also kinda gets thrown around every so often. The Shyhawk is just not so widespread around here, its a Jbody, but just not a common car in the topics here. Honestly neither are the Fienza's, J200 or the Cimarron.
Well I do like to be a little different. I know the Skyhawk wasnt as popular... especially an 84... But with the mods Ive made already, it blows the doors off my wifes 'bird. And there are several more mods to come. I dont know alot about modding these motors... or where to get parts. But hopefully, when shes done, I can earn a little more recognition for the older Js.

Its noit so much the car you have its the fact that your name is David and that just pisses me off.
Im just kidding mang. When I had my J all were welcome at my house for parties and such. From time to time I had some other Js that would show up at mod day. Everyone was always welcome.
One thing I noticed in my 5 years of J driving in HOuston is thats its damn hard to get anyone to meet up on a reg basis. THe Solstice hasnt been out a year yet and every meet Ive been to is bigger than any mod day I ever had with my Cavy. I think the problem is that alot of people DONT want to show up if the car the drive is stock or close to stock. SO it makes it hard.
But anyway. Good luck but dont be suprised if not much pans out at all.
I am all that is man
