finished body work/garage cleaned pics
Wednesday, April 12, 2006 8:28 AM
Okay Folks,

Finished the body work, cleaned my garage out last night, went and picked up my primer. The reason the car looks like that now is because i used 600 wetsand grit on the car so then primer will stick to it. Im going to mix it with ratio 4 oz primer, 1 oz activator, 1 oz reducer. This sunday(Easter day), i will be shooting the whole car with primer.

B]ITS FINALLY READY, HEHE

ENJOY THE PICTURES EVERYONE!

I will be shooting it around noon or so and then grabbing me a beer once its done.

Well enough talking and on with the pictures.

I glassed evil eyes on both sides and the hood will get a red paint job on the edges and the center of it will stay carbon fiber.

Well when you work fulltime, and of course study at night, and workout 4 times a week, its hard to do this stuff cause it takes alot of time. Molding body kits to make them perfect is some work and its not something you can do in oneday. Plus on the side of all the other stuff above, i also design 55 gallon, 40 led blue light led fish tank top swaps and i post them on ebay. I am getting ready to open up a full ecommerce website and dedicate to fish tank led tops for all sizes of fish tanks. Im not the type of person that just sits at home and watches tv, i keep busy with my life so that is why its taking me some time to finish this body work.

THE WHOLE CAR WILL BE PRIMERED SUNDAY AND PICS MONDAY MORNING.

Hey Sorry man, i just thought it was more towards bashing me or something like half the people do on the org anymore. I plan on going to alot of shows this summer and meeting up for the meets too. Right now i really odnt have any interior so after paint, im going to have to start putting the interior back in, and im so hoping i can make it to the big show next month, but its going to close like always.

jesus isnt getting me my paint like he said so next weekend i will have to hitup the local paint store in plano, tx and just get it there. I just cant believe he kept telling me he can get it and then never pulled through, its been months now and still no paint.

Well Folks, Jesus contacted me today and is coming over and we will be working all night long to get my car in primer. I finished all the little spots today with puddy which i am about to sand off then off to wetsanding the car again and washing it, then off to tape and primer it tonight. It may be a long night but it will be worth it. So anyone else care to stop by and help call my cell at 214-394-7475. I will be taking lots of pics and posting them tommorow. It will proll be a long night but should be fun. Anyone watn to come i live in Allen, Texas off of 75 north about 3 miles from bethany exit.

Peace.

yo man whats up. Visit the thread in the main part and you will see the action has begun. I used 3m scotchbrite pads and wetsanded the whole car with paste. I got about 75% of the car taped off too. The primer will be coming friday night, after primer i will use the 3m scotchbrite pads(red color) to smooth out the primer then off to paint. I will be using a gallon of ppg red paint and ppg clear coat. I am learning about painting cars more and more daily and there is no doubt this will turn into a professional paint job. The car right as it sits is as smooth as glass from the cleaning of it.

Sounds good, that should work well with smoothing out the primer, the only tricky part is not removing any, but should work fine. Are u shooting it in a booth or ur garage, if so ahah dont paint at night, think u and i learned that the hard way.

Ahah ya i can remember when u and i worked on ur car before, if there wasnt something worse than wet sanding.. it has to be tapping a car off for litterally hours and hours.

yeah man i will be shooting in my garage without a doubt, more or less in the morning before the humidity kicks in. My primer is for 80-90 degree temperatures, which should be fine. I will never do a paint job at night again cause of flyes. But to be honest man i dont have bugs at my house like my brother did so i should be fine. Your welcome to come over if you want, just up to you.
