wanted to start a neutral track topic. if everything goes well, weather speaking, then we wil be at the track tonight. i think the rain is suppost to be scattered sprinkles and mostly south of I-20 per the local news channels

Dear John:
Here is what is happening at Denton Dragway this week:
Friday Night Test and Tune: Gates open at 7 PM. Admission is $10 plus $5 for a tech card to race. Race until 1 AM.
Midnight Madness Friday 11 PM to 1 AM! $10 to race or watch.
King of the Hill's Season Opener will be on Saturday, March 4. Gates open at 6 PM. Admission is $20 pit side (includes a tech card for test and tune) or $15 spectator side.
Upcoming events - Friday March 10: Fun & Grudge/Midnight Madness. Saturday March 11: Junior Dragsters and big money brackets.
See you at the track!

The Obligatory Recap:
8:15 PM: Will goes to "recruit" a pair of lovebirds in a blue 'Fire. Turns out he already knows them, however. It is upon his return that he gets the fateful call giving the miserable state of the Dragway. So it's off on a wild goosechase to Arlington, where bad driving eventually catches us up with JD, who then can't find the entrance to Putt-Putt and throws the rest of us off.
9:00 PM, Putt-Putt: Trista and Melody basically kicked the crap out the rest of us... I don't think one of the holes was on level ground, but I'll be a good loser :-) Seems like the basic rule when playing at that location is just hit the ball as hard as you can and hope for the best... you're either going to ace it or not get it in at all. JD showed us the Smoke-N-Putt, a strategy which seemed to actually work quite well. An observation session of Emo kids followed, complete with a guy with a purse and three kiddos who were a
little too good at Dance Dance Revolution. Meanwhile Ramon got starstruck over some high school girls in the arcade.
10:30 PM, Hooters: Fast becoming a ritual with this group it seems is to go to a Hooters and see what goes wrong. In Grapevine it was the rude waitress; in South Arlington they ran out of everything... no ketchup, no ranch, no hot sauce, no beer license, no Dr Pepper, and no one left on third. At least we got some free brewski out of the deal so it wasn't all that bad! Plus the activities with some more Emo kids vs. the Harry Hines rejects kept us entertained, and made Amanda jealous. And I think certain people at our table enjoyed the Hooters Mystery Sauce Made from the Stuff We Ran Out Of (Among Other Things) wayyyyyy too much.
A fun night with the J's, indeed. Once everyone showed up we had 11.

My pleasure. FYI I just got back from the Waco Hooters (it's become an obligatory thing whenever I come down here.) I ordered 20 shrimp... they gave me at least 35. I had three beers... they charged me for one. Not to mention, I had at 2 different girls waiting on me. Plus the manager from the Grapevine store that hooked us all up when we had the bad waitress is now managing this store (he even had his Grapevine shirt on.) So it seems like I've got a stop for us whenever we head for New Braunfels, since after all it is a 5 hour drive down there from DFW. These people know how to do it right.
