just found out that my mom's side of the family was all gathered at my aunt's place in Slidell for a long weekend.
If you saw the route that the hurricane took, or happen to know where Slidell is, well, you know this could turn out badly.

Sorry to hear.. Slidell got THE worst of it.

yea dude i used to live in Slidell thats where i was born. If u know where St. Margret Mary's school/church is i used to live in the neighborhood next to it. found out yesterday that the school is under 8ft of water and the school was on a slight hill so yea my old neighborhood is gone.

our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this disaster ...
most of the people from Louisiana came here... now all day we get calls to 911 asking if we know where there family is... its hard listening to people beg u to help them to find there family and knowing theres nothing u can do.. .all day we were getting calls about people trapped.. people stuck in attics.. its just sad.. id like to say everything is ok... but unfortunately theres not much good news coming out of Louisiana

just found out that my fam got the hell outta there in time. some went to atlanta, a few to monroe, and my uncle just stayed put in baton rouge and is fine.
i guess my news is all good at this point. mom's home town of golden meadow is now pretty much gone, though...but at least she doesn't miss it.

Its sad that many good people were lost in all this.
WHats even worse is that a bunch of sorry arss no good people have come to HOuston and are starting trouble.
Houston opened up to help and they respond by mugging, rapping, and stealing.
You might not hear this on the news stations because they dont want that kind of info getting out I guess.
I just purchased a .357 magnum to keep in my car because im reading post about my local cars guys getting car jacked by these fukers.
I was going to send money to aid. But instead I used that money to buy this gun.
I know that seems harsh but the bad ones ruined it for the rest of them IMO.
