What happend? Did your fuel line break or something?
Don't know what happened. I doubt the fuel line broke as I smelled gas before it happened, but the car was running perfectly fine.

Damn david that sucks!
I hope the insurance company takes care of you. Atleast it didn't catch fire while you where driving or close enough to your house to cause any serious damage to it. Could have been much worse.

but yeah, you've got my number if you need it.
Have you seen the turbo wagon?

Just got a call from the repair shop. He tells me that battery acid got on the transmission and the engine block. He can actually see where the acid has made the surface of those rough(where it's eating the aluminum and cast iron). He told me that he could fix it, but it would have problems down the road. So, because of that, he wants to total it out. I agreed with him.
So, hopefully the insurance company will be speedy on getting the paper work done. I'll keep this thread updated on what happens next.

at this point, considering the damage done, i'd think a total would be a good thing.
i'll check in for updates.

The insurance adjuster just called me again to say that he hasn't been out to the shop yet, and he won't be out today. There's another adjuster going out to the shop tomorrow to look at it. After that point, if they agree to total it then it's going to be next week sometime before they get all of the paper work done.
ARGHGHGHGH!!! I hate dealing with insurance companies!!!!

They love to drag it out. It is somewhat of a tactic they use to have power over you. So when they finnaly get ready to do the paperwork you are ready to settle and sign whatever they hand you...Sorry to hear about the car atleast you had turned it back to stock beforehand.
Any clues for what you will be driving next? Yah know they make a new Miata with a Turbo stock.
Would be great for Autox and with some meth injection.....

Well, the insurance company called to tell me that the car is totalled.
I've got a pretty good idea on what I'm getting to replace it, but I don't think that you guys will like it. Although, it is a Chevy. I need to get into a new vehicle ASAP and out from this rental car that I'm paying for out of my own pocket.

ooh ooh...scion tc with TRD centrifugal supercharger!!
or, um, saabaru *sic* 9-2X aero! that one makes me purrrrr...
okay, not really, but i just love the sleek look of that particular, factory-boosted wagon. maybe the saab front end on a wrx wagon just does something for me.
hey, snag a used miata and let's go racing.
yes?

my buddy had a very small fuel leak on his srt-4 after the dealer installed his stage 1 injectors..... i noticed you had them also. so maybe that could be it.... ?
he had the dealer install his injectors since he had broken rt. arm and hand at the time. the dealer said it was a defective o-ring on one of the injectors. but he didnt have a fire though, he couldnt smell gas but his wife complained about it a few times right after he had the injectors installed so then brought it back and the tech found the problem.

I wanted to stay away from a factory turbocharged vehicle for my daily driver. I'll save that fun time for my Metro!
I ended up getting a 2006 Chevy Colorado. 175 hp 185 ft lbs 2.8L DOHC 4 cylinder 5 speed manual, regular cab, Flame Red, with tinted windows.
