Check
here for all the info on racing this weekend at bandimere speedway. There are only two of these a year here and the second one usually gets rained out. Great time for all to be had.
how do you register?

That sux , I have drill this weekend, but I will be going to the drift showoff at PPIR.
You don't have to register. The gates open at 9 am on sunday and usually this event is only open to the first 500 racers. I like to get there early because there is always a @!#$load of cars there and I want to make sure I get to race. I will be there around 7:00 am. I know that is like 2 hours early but I always like to detail my car for these events and that gives me time to do it there rather than do the detail and then drive there and detail some more. I am probably going to go by a couple of those tent type things that I can park my car under (they are only like 15 bucks at Big Lots) so me and my car can stay out of the sun and I don't get my spot jacked while I am racing. The difference between this event and the other races at bandimere is that this one always has tons of punk kids that don't understand the common courtesies that all of us regular folks were taught. Last weekend my car had both dors and the trunk open during the car show and I wasn't near my car most of the day because I know that people respected my car as much as I respected others cars. I can't put that much trust into the crowd that will be there this weekend. I will leave my car be itself but definetely not unlocked and open.
On the upside there will be a bikini contest that is good everytime I see it and worth bringing at least a camera for.
well then i'll hopefully be there, that means i'ma have to leave about 5am, lol, cause its 1.5hrs to springs and i wana make sure i'm able to get a few runs in. i'll make sure i bring my car tent with me too!
i'ma try and get my CF seat installed and strip my interior down a bit (remove my rear seat & passenger seat), hopefully it'll get be a little better times for my first time at the track

You are guaranteed three runs. Two time trials and one eliminations run. From there you just try to send as many people home as possible. Don't get to dissapointed if you don't run the times you expect either. Gotta remember altitude robs hp and we are at 5800 feet. just subtract between 1 and 1.3 seconds off your time from what I have heard and that should be your sea level time. I run a best of 17.5. hopefully a little more this weekend if I get a new toy.
but I don't know if I will get it or not.
well i'ma also try and get my ac compressor off, that should free up a few horses & install my test pipe
and i'ma play with my SAFC untill i get a good time, and then stick with that setting

can we get a list of people who "might" be there this sunday?
maybe we can make this into a mini-meet of something?

is there a show at this thing too or just racing
It looks as though it will be cancelled early because of the rain so I am not going to spend the $35.
so if this is going to be canceled, why dont we just skip this event all together and meet up in the springs in the later afternoon for a little meet & possible cruise? [maybe grab some grub too!]
