My car has a very strange burning smell to it after it's been ran a while. It smells exactly like the way it did when the place that drained my tranny fluid didnt fill it back up and didnt put the dipstick back in. I already put two quarts of transmission fluid in and bought a new dipstick at their expense. Why would my car still smell like it's burning something? Also i have noticed that it's still extremely hard to get the car in third gear. It's like something is in the way of the shifter and i have to kind of force it in. Any ideas to make it easier to shift? Thanks in advanced.
stick??check your clutch fluid......... hopefully your not burning your clutch out
could be some fluid on your clutch...that could be bad.
oil and stuff stays on your exhaust a long time. My buddie had a plastic bag stick on his down pipe and it burnt for weeks.
