Brake problem - Hit brakes back ones pull harder..
Wednesday, January 04, 2006 11:55 AM
Well i resurfaced the drums and put new shoes. Yes im sure it was done all correctly. Anyway when i hit the brakes it seems like the front brakes dont even work. The back of the car pulls down and u can clearly feel the back brakes working alot more then the fronts. So i have no idea whats wrong with it. It feels like i have no front brakes and yes the pads on the front are also good

I have no idea and its beginning to bug me its been going on for awhile and i just deal with it but now im looking to fix it

When I get new brakes on the rear, they feel kinda grabby. Overadjusted is what I'd agree with. Take some calipers to make sure they aren't dragging. What do the front ones look like color-wise? Age?

Ummm okay WTF did you just pull some random name out of your ass and post it. A lot of morons do that and all it does is screw people up.

As for overadjusted, how you want them as close to the drum as you can for best grabbing power. So overadjusted, is also another lame guess.

To the original poster the back brakes do apply before the fronts, so fast you dont even notice it. Reason being is so the car doesnt go into a tailspin.

Also did you use a micrometer and measure the thickness of the rotor to make sure it isnt below spec?
