I have a 2003 cavalier w/ about 50k on it and just yesterday the airbag light kicked on for about a minute and then went away then like 10 min. later did the same thing then went off any ideas what this could be , because if its not staying on, how is their anyway to tell whats wrong with it?
Moms & Dads talk to your kids, before its too late, tell them to say no to aluminum wings.
potential clock spring behind the steering wheel/??
^^^^
Holy @!#$ dont tell the man to start throwing any random part name you an grab out of your ass to fix his car.
Now airbag lights store a code. The light was on then off. A code is now stored it can be read using a Tech II at the GM dealer.
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new
/\ /\ /\ /\ Is right. Don't mess with it take it to the dealer and let them check the codes, go from there.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
FYI, I had an early model 04, and the car had a short in the main harness. Took it in 5 times in 6 weeks and they were never able to diagnose it. If it isn't in the bag, computer, wire in the column etc and they run out of ideas, there is your cure. However, since yours just started after 50K miles, look for a wire some where if the TECH II doesn't give you any ideas.
P.S. I got mine lemon-lawed out as the car only had 3K miles on it.
