Not sure where to put this so here goes,
Aiight my mom got me some air tools for christmas but i'v never heard of this brand. They are ALLTRADE from costco. It's a 71 peice kit with 1/2 impact couple sockets, 3/8 air ratchet, die grinder with sanding attachments and an air chisle with 3 chisle heads.
In all looks like a nice kit but i'm not sure on quality. Anyone have this brand or heard anything about these?? Because i'm thinking of returning it and picking up some Campbell Hausfeld stuff. Since all i really use is the impact, air ratchet and die grinder the most. My dad had an air chisle and i never found a use for it.

They sell that at Walmart too...they offer the walmart "unlimited time and no questions asked warranty"...aka bring it back anytime make up a lie and get new stuff..lol..like anything else at Walmart.
No actually I have used them before and it seems to be pretty good stuff. I am really hard on tools and they seem to be able to take some punishment. They're not professional tools but in the end do you really need professional tools??
All I ever use is Canadian Tire stuff no hassle getting new stuff on warranty like there is with Snap-on or Mac.
As for the chisel...I find them good for getting ball joints and tie rod ends out. and you never know when it will come in handy.
Anything you can bring back on Warranty is good!

Its like we say at the shop and at school, if its not Snap On or Craftsman its junk period.
Air ratchet think mine was like $170 just for the 1/2 drive one, thing has never let me down yet.
Come on man a 71 piece kit from Wal Mart, unless you like returning @!#$ everyday for warranty, return it and buy some real tools.

If the whole set cost what your ratchet did and lasts him for years in his garage then whats wrong with that ? And it has the same warrenty your Craftsman does I don't see the problem. Well other then you got taken on your Craftsman one when you could have had the whole set for the same price. I'm thinking they saw you coming dude.
Its a nice present man wish I got one like it enjoy it and ignore the hate.
BTW not all Craftsman tools are life time warrentied anymore, be carefull what the package says cause some stuff has a 1 year warrenty.

I've had nothing but problems with snap-on and mac stuff...they have a great warranty but their salesmen never want to honor it here....How do you guys state side find them????
Snap On guys are asses, well at least the couple I delt with. They have that " my sh-t don't stink " attitude about them that I personaly can not stand.
Mac was always cool to me tho.

Those air tools are fine for light use.Most of my air tools are Ingersoll Rand.I have a 1/4 mac air ratchet,man that thing is sweet.Ill take them anyday over snap on.Snap on is over priced.I mostly buy from matco and mac.

A lot of air tools are rebranded and are manufactured by Campbell Husfield, Florida Pneumatic, Ingersoll Rand, etc. Alltrade has been around for a few years....see the link:

Craftsman (Sears) & Husky (Home Depot) are rebranded, not sure who does Craftsman, but HD is CH & FP.
Well these have a 1 year warranty. I think i'll keep em for now. Pretty much the only things i work on it my car, sled and quad.The whole set cost 80$. It's something to get me started, then later on when they break i'll replace it with better stuff.
If you are a mechanic who uses air tools daily, then I would return them.
If you are a weekend wrencher, who might use these once in a great while, then they should work fine.
Good idea on the use it until it breaks and replace it with better.
I have some Campbell Hausfeld clearance air tools from Walmart, and some Pittsburgh deep impact sockets and extensions from Harbor Freight. I have yet to use them, but for the couple times a year use that they might see, they will be fine for me.
if you are a mechanic and this is your life (7 days a week, 40+ hours a week), then definitely return them.
but what i've noticed over the years is that even the "cheaper" brands of tools are sometimes good quality. i bought a "Champion" (sears) set of metric and standard wrenches for like 12 bucks years ago (19 different wrenches) and they have YET to fail me or strip or anything on any of my random weekend wrenchings. i say, if they look good and feel good, keep em.

just about 97% of craftsman air tools are IR. same with snap-on. pretty much the only difference is they use there own casings. im not sure what mac and matco are. pretty sure there the same as well. but like what some others said, if your a weekend warrior then there fine. unless your friends and what not start bringing there cars to you to get fixed then dont worry about em. just use them and enjoy the crap out of them. i remember when i was 13 and my dad bought me tool box loaded with just about everything. he got more pleasure out of me using them and helping him then i did. back then snap on was by far the best and all my dad bought. but hey, every company needs to cut corners to cover there bottom line. IMO awesome gift.
