Ok for everyone who wants to know a very good way to use seafoam, this is how i do it. and the reason i dont use a vacuum line, is b/c doing it this way cleans your upper throttle body better
*i also do this b4 doing an oil change, so i do the crankcase cleaning*
1. warm car to operating temuratures
2.pour 1/3 can into fuel tank, with about 5 or less gallons of gas in it
3. pour a 1/4 of total can into crankcase
4. remove intake parts prior to the TB
5. start engine
6. hold RPMs at 2,000 rpms (u may need a helper, unless you can tell by the sound of the engine ur RPMs by holding throttle cable)
7. SLOWLY pour the remains of the Seafoam into your throttle bodyy, being sure not to stall the engine
8. once bottle is empty, alow to run for 30 seconds, then shut engine off for 5 minutes
9. after 5 minutes has elapsed, start vehicle, and drive, moderatly hard until it no longer puts out white smoke
10. after no more then 50 miles, change oil.
*note: if you are not doing an oil change soon after, or are not doing the crankcase cleaning, pour 1/8 more into fuel, and tb
One of many ways to do it. BTW, your not actually cleaning anypart of the TB with seafoam on a 2200 engine. so a vacuume line then would be best. So just follow the instructions i left in the last 4 threads.
mine os for a 2.4 then, cuz that's what i have...either way, they both work equally well
newb qurstion.. where is crankcase

Have you ever put oil in your car? The oil fill tube goes to the crankcase. AKA oilpan.
Seaform is garbage, you are wasting your money. Any kind of burnoff is just gonna end up cloggin your cat faster. Do regular maitenance and fun a good gas and you have no need for it regardless. If you want to clean your injectors, try chevron Techron, thats about it.

^ this guy has all the answers i love it
This guy is also a motor builder, and has been building up cars since he was 5

. I also went to school for General Motors and I am classed as a high B tech. I think I have an Idea of what I am talkin about. Whats your auto backround? How many motors have you built? Have you ever designed a custom part? Just wondering

Ill play.
I have a degree in automotive engineering, Im not a mechanic, so i dont know everything I specialize in car and truck restoration and modification of the 1930's to mid 1950's.. First car i ever built was a 1955 chevy nomad, My second was a 1932 high boy. and since about 4 others from the ground up. My electrical experiance is improving as stereo's are no where near my specialty. Ive only built 3 motors, soon to be 3 more. Im working on 2 project vehicles, And designed and fabricated a few dozen parts.
Though i dont know everything when it come to mechanics, When it comes to structures, like frames, and pinables, just ask, i can do it all.
Nice to know El, deff a person that I wouldnt mind knowing lol.
As for the Seafoam, like I said I go by wht I have seen. Then again I have ripped down a motor with over 100,000 miles on it to be rather impressed with seeing that there was little to no carbon deposites the motor was clean. And that was just regular maitenance and useing goodgas and oils.

Not all were mine, but I am 23 and have had aboot a dozen cars. Clean them up, build them up and sell them to loose money. I have too much fun doin it. The Loan thing will keep the 2002 around for quite a while lol
