ok so before you guys bust my nuts, i did a search after posting, and i found "blown valve cover gasket", tell me if i'm correct on this diagnosis?

is this something that would be a fairly simple fix? i have experience pulling sh*t apart and putting it back together so i should be able to do this right? are there any special tools i'll need? also can someone tell me some fairly simple step by step directions? thanks

BREATHE !!! Geez! its just the valve cover gasket. Give them the vin# and let them figure out which one you need.

lol yeah i know, it's just i got 130,000 miles on my car, i've put 30,000 of them on it this year alone and i've got so much other work to do to it and no money to do it with i just don't want the thing to die on me and not ANY transportation... i know i'm freakin out about it, but i know it's been leaking for a while and when i pulled the plugs out this am they were covered.... so anyways, is this a fairly simple fix i can do on my own?

just remove the intake from throttlebody, remove acdelco box with three lines in it carefully with screw driver, unbolt like i think the ten bolts holding it on, pull old gasket out put new one in the groove no sealent needed, bolt back together from center outward and lightly snug down all bolts. dont overtighten or u will flaten gasket and have to do it again a few months from now because of flat spots. have a nice day

search for how to remove it. its really easy, i replaced mine in about 20 mins. basically you take the intake off and the bracket just above the valve cover then theres just some bolts. take them out and then remove the cover. make sure you clean the surface area good

If you have a 1/4" drive ratchet use that to tighten the valve cover bolts. It will decrease the chance of you over tightening the valve cover bolts. Also another little known fact if your rebuilding your tool set is Stanley, Husky, and Mac tools are all the same company. From what I've seen the Stanley and Husky are basicly older Mac designs.
