Hey guys I have a 99 z24 w/ quite a bit of miles on it. I drove the car from Miami, Fl. to Tallahasse Fl. bought 600 more or less, to school. I stoped once to fill up and had a quarter tank when I got to Tall. So yesterday I changed my oil and went to Tires Plus to get their 3 step fuel and induction system cleaning. I wasn't sure if it would work but I watched them do it and I could see the carbon coming out of my tailpipe as they did the treatment. Then I noticed it had restored a little power down low, I was like cool it was worth it. Then when I drove back home to Miami today, I stoped to fill up again like last time but this time I had a whole half of tank left when I got in town. Thats a quarter tank more. I don't know how your gas prices are but that saved me about ten bucks in gas! If your ride has a few miles on her I recommend a trip to tires plus it's worth it to me. Just a suggestion.
FAMU or FSU? I just graduated from FSU last year... Not a lot going on up there in Tallahassee. If you get a chance though, Nick, Deji, and a few other guys are up there. They are pretty cool. Try to get up with them sometime

Try seafoam, Works just as well, and is only $5
was the wind (direction/speed) the exact same both directions?
Actually here is what really happens.
Wax and paraphen build up in the fuel rail and injectors overtime. ( Thats the reason all cars come with high flows from the factory, because overtime it will get plugged up) Anyways this cleaner @!#$ that they rape you up the ass for actually removes the wax and @!#$. Only problem is it moves it to the three micron holes in the bottom of the injectors. So you have to get al new injectors. Dont worry it wont happen tomorrow, usually takes about two weeks for the full effect to be seem. Hvae fun buying new injectors.
So not only did they rape you for the fuel system clog looks like they will have you buying some new injectors.

BUAHAHAHAHAHA...im sorry...give me a second...AAHAHAHhAHAHHAHHAH
that is the worst thing ive heard about these treatments yet. yes they rape you on the stuff. no it doesnt clog the injectors. thats just stupid to even say. all that @!#$ does is break down the carbon and other crap and liquify it.
you , Rob S, have had your typing priviledges revoked until you come up with irreputable evidence of what you have said.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Try seafoam, Works just as well, and is only $5
ONE BIG MOTHER FUCI,IN DITTO ON THAT, $5 is better then like 70-100. i live by that $hit since it helped my car last summer
and about the paraphin wax 4hit, there it no wax in it. and also if it broke it upinside the fuel system, it would not clog the micorn mesh, it would be broken up more, and would pass through
I know someone who worked as a GM tech for 18 years. He saw it happen many many times. He would do an injector "flush" on a vheicle, two weeks or so would go by the car would return with clogged injectors.
No the wax and @!#$ doesnt pass through the micron holes it is bigger than them and just clogs them up.

Seafoam is the better choice not to mention the true benefits it shows quick, versus the outrageous prices for fuel system cleaning that are offered.I will take the 5.00 first.Seafoam RULES!

Sounds like it was done wrong.
can any of you explain the steps for using this seafoam??
unplug vaccum booster hose. stick funnel in end of hose that came off the big black thing (forgot its name.) slowly pour seafoam in and rev the engine a little. i had a buddy hold the throttle at 2K as i poured it in slowly.

I have never seen a clogged injector from this. I have been in the industry for over 10 years.

Do you mean perhaps the 2200 box, and the breather tube?
My intake has a built in spot to hook up Nitrous, but since I don't have it hooked up, can I just spray the @!#$ in there?

The vacuum booster. The round thing behind the brake master cylinder?
I would just do the throttle body decarb. Todays fuel already comes with injector cleaner additives.
where can you buy this stuff. sounds interesting. i am in ontario and wanted to purchase it.
BirdmanXXXXX!
thanx alot! i am on my way to purchase

i wanna use this seafoam, but the directions posted arent that clear for me (part names and what not...) so could anyone who has used this, give me clear-cut directions. thanks guys!!
about the steps to using seafoam, it would be better to pour in into the TB b/c it will clean out the $hit in the TB, as opposed to pouring it into a vacuum line, this is how i do it
*i also do this b4 doing an oil change, so i do the crankcase cleaning*
1. warm car to operating temuratures
2.pour 1/3 can into fuel tank, with about 5 or less gallons of gas in it
3. pour a 1/4 of total can into crankcase
4. remove intake parts prior to the TB
5. start engine
6. hold RPMs at 2,000 rpms (u may need a helper, unless you can tell by the sound of the engine ur RPMs by holding throttle cable)
7. SLOWLY pour the remains of the Seafoam into your throttle bodyy, being sure not to stall the engine
8. once bottle is empty, alow to run for 30 seconds, then shut engine off for 5 minutes
9. after 5 minutes has elapsed, start vehicle, and drive, moderatly hard until it no longer puts out white smoke
10. after no more then 50 miles, change oil.
*note: if you are not doing an oil change soon after, or are not doing the crankcase cleaning, pour 1/8 more into fuel, and tb
that's what i've always done, and it works better then pouring it into a vacuum line
we also do that we have a 3-step treatment, fuel, air intake, and inductiion, in mattawan, michigan 49071, 668-9022, we charg 119.99
Unless your premi, i wouldnt be advertising in here.
