wtf.... when its cold outside esp in the morning... ill go to crank my car, and it'll fire up... run for literatly one to two rotations.... and stall out... what the @!#$.... i believe a related problem is occationally it;ll sputter down rite after i rev it... but thats any time... cold or hot... i changed the fuel filter during the summer thinking that could be my problem... nope....its not fuel related... all my ignition components work too... so what the @!#$... this realy sucks! btw im in college and its 7:37am... this problem has caused me to miss my class yet again...

wrong forum....
but ill say either battery, alternator, or starter.
im leaning more towards the battery or alternator though
I Drank 750 Bottles Of Mountain Dew For A XBOX 360.... AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS STUPID HAT.
trust me... my battery is fine, so is my alternator and starter.... they all work flawlessly.... i had a comp stereo system in it and they never crapped on me... i think it has somthing to do with my maf.... the car turns over but then dies out after a second or two... through summer no probs... it did this last winter too

Are you just trying to start it and drive away right away, or are you letting it warm up first?
im still going to say battery cause if your running a system you might not be getting enough cold amps to start your car... i know, happened to me. so i say get a yellow top optima and take care of that problem... unless you already have a yellow top if so im not sure.

to exx.. no im just tryin to start it....
to Drake... the system isn't even in the car ne more...
it fires up and putters out a second or two later... then the theft system light comes on.. but if i go outside rite now itll fire rite up

sounds more like your having a theft problem then if the light comes on
this need to be in the maitenence fourm though , not in performance
you might do a compression test on all four cylinders. engines with very poor compression won't run in cold weather, but as temperatures rise, so will cylinder pressure, allowing your engine to run. if your problem isn't spark, and it's not fuel, try doing a compression test.
a car that runs normal during warm weather and not at all in cold weather has these kinds of symptoms. good luck.
does it have a cold air system on it? if so, it may not be getting enough fuel for how much air its getting. try changing it back. ive seen this happen b4, i swear. and on the cars it happened....other cars like it with the same cold air ,etc were not affected! its a per-car basis thing i gess. dont dont be an *** by saying "well my bud has a 20** cav with the same parts, and HIS car is fine"!

oh, and cars require LOTS more fuel when cold BTW...

Surely 97 cavie's right.
If the theft light is coming on the injectors are shut off after 2-3 seconds! and no more fuel is delivered.
It's just that your problem is intermittant

ok, if yout theft light is flashing, chances are its your cluster or your PCM.
it could either be a hard part problem, or a wiring problem, when u have it running take it to a GM garage, and see if they can reflash your PCM to match up with the ANTI-THEFT in your cluster.
i that iac prob seems most probable... the inatake is a piece o crap apc one that came with the car....
