will a 2001 2.4 liter grand am motor fit directly into a 1998 convertible sunfire 2.4??.

It will bolt in no problem but you have to use the 98 injectors and rail.
The 01 didn't had the Egr so you'll need an Egr sim unless you use the 98 exhaust manifold.
