Alright this is my sitch. My car started to run really rough while idle. It started to burp and sputter, and just bog out really hard. runs like i have a huge cam man. it's bad. real bad. Well i replaced the ignition control module when i had it tested cuz it was bad, didn't get rid of the problem, had the coils checked they were still good, replaced the wires and the plugs. All sound now, still runs like it's missin really bad. Okay then i went to fuel delivery, changed the fuel filter, ended up findin out that it was really bad, well still runs like damn it. Okay, then i had the code reader on the car OBD-II. Codes came out saying that my top O2 sensor was missing low and my lower O2 the heating element was bad, well, i replaced both of those. started the car, it came out smooth then went right back to boggin down again. I haven't looked at fuel injectors yet but i put cleaner in the fuel everytime i change the oil and do regular maintenance on this car like nobody's business. Throw out some more ideas if you could that would help me. My codes are clear and no Check engine light anymore and it still runs like it's missin really bad. I hit the gas and bogs down really bad then it will catch up and wham i am cruisin. Please help if anyone has had this problem.
Also on a side note, i have MSD ignition coil packs and i bought them like two years ago, and i don't suppose that there life is only two years but i could be wrong. Let me know what you think, if i should go with new ones. I could really use the help. Thanx.
how many miles on your car? 3 out of 4 of my stock injectors went out by 150k. trust me, a bad injector will mkae your car run baaaaad.

check it out, friend.
...don't hate!.. respect people that have talent, even if it is in something you don't like or understand.
Do you do mostly city driving. I found that when i put a higher octane fuel in and took it for a good run on the Highway, it cleans out all the @!#$ in your hoses. Cars seems to respond better.
what motor? iwhen u give it gas does it just not do anything, u may need to check your cat. if it had a bad rreadin on BOTH O2 sensors, your cat may be blocked causing a MAJOR exhaust restriction. also check your injectors as stated,
im guessing that since u said plugs and WIRES, u have a 2.2.....
if you have a 2.4, replace your coil cover, BE SURE TO GET WHITE ONE, NOT BLACK ONE
^^ wuts diference between white n black?
the blavck one is the orginal factory one, the internal wireing, or circuitry was not built to a good enough quality, and many, VERY many shorted out prematurely, and caused cross fireing/arcing
the white one is a GM updated part. was built far more supirior to the black one, and held up much better under normal, and modified curcumstances.
Well i have the 2.2L and i got about 130k miles, yeah, so i guess it could be the injectors It's the last thing that i have not replaced on the car that could cause this freakin problem. I am gettin a turbo built right now, so i know i have to put newer ones in, anyone got any sites they can direct me too, i don't wanna replace them with stock injectors if i am goin turbo and gonna replace them anyway, thanks for all the responses.
Just as a check, I could be far off. But check your antifreeze and oil. If your antifreeze looks like baby poo, or you oil level shut up and look slike milk then your head gasket is blown. the reason I say this is because coolant will destroy O2 sensors. It will also make it run weird from loss of compression and water doesnt burn real well. So just check before you go spending all kinds of money.

Well just a quick question then Phil Anderson. If i haven't flushed the system then, would this be a definate possiblity that my car would run like this. but the oil i know is good, i keep up with as regular as your supposed to. thanks for the insight
even if u do keep up with changing it when that gasket randomly starts leaking its gonna mix the coolant with ur oil. thats why he wants you to look at it to see the color if its milky u probably have a blown headgasket.
This is something caddy owners have a problem with, It is a defintite... if you dont change your antifreeze on them in time your herad gasket will blow lol. Alot of people just think caddy sucks for that reason.. but they dont keep up with the maintnence. What could happen also if the head gasket is blown you could have exhaust going into your antifreeze heating it up. to test.. start your car cold with thte rad cap open and watch for a constant flow of small bubbles. How does your coolant look now?

Well, i haven't looked at it yet, but i also did notice one thing that use to never happen, The Radiator fan would come on as soon as i would turn the car on, from cold start and everything. It was trippin me out, i looked everywhere for a short or something but i couldn't find anything that would tell me thats why it was comin on, i even had a mechanic look at it. I will definately look into it.
