I tried to search, but i dont know what topic to search for...Here is the problem...i noticed one night when i was driving that every time i turn the steering wheel, my dome light and rear view mirror lights go on...then off..i noticed that when i sorta push against the steering wheel...it makes the dome lights go on and off..then i noticed that my windshield wippers do not work..i was like wtf...so then...and this is what bothers me..I put the steering wheel in its higest possition and the car shut off...when the car is running and i raise the steering wheel to its highest possition the car will shut off and be in accessorie mode...Please help...im lost. Thanks
it might be a loose wire/harness under and around the steering column, check around there, also check your fuses and make sure none of them are burnt. also check your underneath the dash, might have some loose and worn wires that your steering wheel is hitting.....just my 2 cents.

ya id take off the steering colum plastic and check all the harnesses
pinched wires, grounding out, making a short when you play with the wheel

Yep. Shorts and/or bad grounds do all kinds of crazy stuff.

in my budies dakota same kind of problem when you tilted the steering wheel all the way down the stereo turn of and so did the lights
first off, did n e one think to ask if he had messed w/ n e thing inside first?
but ya it sounds like a bad ground or a short
i havnt tacketed this yet cus its to cold and @!#$y out..i dont have a garage...but im gonna start this task saturday morning..ill keep u posted
