How to change blower motor resistor

Hey I have searched the site and I have not been able to f ind any working links to how to replace a blown blower motor resistor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

what year
95-99 you need to drop the blower motor out of the housing it is under the dash on the passanger side. there is 3 bolts that hold it in 8mm i think. then remove the resistor replace and reverse these steps. 2000+ ive never done one.

just a suggestion get the one from the dealer.

Jesse, I recently replaced mine (96' Sunfire) and didn't have to remove the blower motor, however, it did require a 1/4" drive universal socket (if I remember correctly it was 7mm, purchased from Snap-on). 1st disconnect battery ground as suggested, then disconnect resistor connector ( I needed a right angled pick for this because I am old and feeble). Remove 2 fasteners, one will need the universal (this required cutting the flooring/insulation for clearance). Reverse procedure for install. Good luck.
