Well, sat here and read about 50 posts on this subject and seemed my car could have any one of the problems. The only thing was, almost all the post were for 2.4s or 2200s.
So, I just changed the 02 and plugs in the car due to the 02 being bad. Figure the plugs wouldn't hurt since I had a misfire in #4 when I scanned it in.
Now, at idle the engine pops every 4 or 5 seconds. Like vrrrrrrrr...pop...vrrrrrrr...pop, pop......vrrrrrr, etc.
Also, at about 4000 rpm, the car will hesitate like it's missing or running out of gas. It recovers and then you can go again, but it hesitates for like 3 or 4 seconds.
Under light load, seems all is fine with the exception of the bad idle. I can pull out normal and shift at 3000 rpm or so and not notice a thing. This started about a week ago and that is why I replaced the 02 and plugs. The 02 was bad so I thought that was the problem??
Any thoughts?
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
Check engine light on?
I root for the underdog...figured I might as well be one

BAD choice! take it out...throw it away....get an AC DELCO 02 sensor..stick it in there and all your problems should go away

......your not the first to have this happen

You think? Not sure it would but I can try it I guess. It was doing this a little bit before I swapped in a new 02 and plugs so I was thinking something else might be wrong.
I'll take a look tomorrow at the parts store see how long to get an AC Delco 02 here.
Anyone else?
