Was driving around yesterday and car was running like @!#$ wanted to stall out backfiring CEL the works... Luckily there was a Autozone right around the corner had them hook it up and they came back with the CEL's for these two things plus my heater fan (which has been working part time) and low coolant temp (it wasnt running verylong and it was in the 20's) so I expected the last two. Anyone have any idea how hard it is to change these two sensors and about how much they cost?
The sensors, the head gasket, and don't you have front end troubles too?
GOOD GRIEF !!! And here I thought I was hard on my car !!! WOW, just WOW !!!
Anyway if you like I'll get you part #'s when I go back to work on monday.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Ooops sorry the head gasket wasn't you. My bad!!

OK, so the front end isn't you either. ( sigh )
Did you still want the part numbers?

LOL nope I changed the head gasket over the summer... I did that had it ported and polished resurfaced it has been running fine up until yesterday.
I'm getting the same codes every once in a while, the cam and the crank. It's not all the time, but it'll try to fall on its face, puke out a code, then run good again.

I havent changed the timing chain ever in mine
Yup, identical to what my car is doing. Is it the cam sensor tripping the codes or what is it, anyone know?

Best thing you can do is buy a haynes manual. the parts shouldn't be that expensive. you need a CMP sensor, a CKP sensor and CKP o-ring. Removal and installation depends on engine model. hope this helps you cuz im in the same exxact boat. i believe the code you get is like po335 and po342. im not sure but good luck to you
Yeah, those are the codes. So it is the sensors that are puking and not something else?
