need help ASAP - fuel line questions
Friday, December 09, 2005 1:20 PM

does anyone know if you can buy any kind of fuel line extension kit or something. on my beater, i think the fuel line is cracked(old rubber line) and it drips right before the in to the fuel filter.

i was thinking maybe i could cut the line back some and get some more fuel line with some kind of connector to cure the leak. does anyone make something like this. i really dont wanna replace the whole line, and no one will accept the car since it is leaking fuel.

also, i HAVE to have it running by sunday, no questions. please any help or suggestions is really appreciated. my friend told me to try and epoxy the line to seal it, but i dont think thats the best idea.

Hard line is not hard to do, especially for such a short piece.

well, maybe not, but in a foot of snow with no garage, its kinda tough.

how far does that line run roughly, and any hints/tips. ive never had to deal with anything other than changing the fuel filter.

ps - this is on a shadow, not a J

hmmmmmmmmmmmm might try to get the ehole line from a dealer and replace the whole peice. it would most likley be your easyist option and pretty stright foward too. thats my best guess.
or drop it off at the dealer and let them fix it. (expensive option)

Might try NAPA Fuel Injection Rubber hose with an up to 180PSi Rating.

They also sell the hose clips for this hose.

You did say the defective part was a rubber hose?
