Which wires?
There's two or three spots in the engine bay... the battery tray, and on the frame rail below the tray.
The dash harness is grounded on the top of the steering column support. You can't get to that one without taking the whole dash apart.
The body harness is grounded in two or three places under the carpet, usually below the front seats or to the side of the frame rails below the sill panel.
I don't think the rear end is grounded anywhere... but I could be wrong as I haven't dismantled a 2003-05 model in a while now.
theres a grounding strap bolted to the tranny also on top and a strap from the cam cover to the head

The one, the only, ME.
wiring diagram to the head lights i need to find where the ground wires are.

Ah. They aren't grounded in that manner.... the headlights are switched negative. They have a constant power lead (orange wire) and the low beam (dk blue) and high beam (pink) are switched from the headlight switch.
What's the problem exactly?
my one headlight shines much brighter then the other. my instructor at school told me to check the ground wire first and then i figured i'd check the connection and lastly change the bulb

Hmm... odd. You can check the voltage at the connector with a meter, see what's coming to it. Check it with the bulb still connected and you'll see the actual voltage drop, with load on it. Compare left to right.
Switch bulbs, see if the brightness moves to the other side, then it's the bulb.
digital voltage meters= best friend. yea i didnt thnk about pulling that out and checking. thanks for the idea man, i appreciate it.

for the amount of work involved(im lazy, and old) i would swap the bulbs first. easiest thing first RIGHT? maybe its just me...........i'd do the easy thing before tearing the car apart looking for grounds.

did the voltage test everything read fine it is most likely just the bulb but i am bored so i most likely will tear something apart looking for the grounds
