rack and pinion fawked up? chipped tooth?

OK, I just got an allignment and now when I am driving down the highway the the tires will all of a sudden kick to one side and to correct it you have to turn the steering wheel. Then eventually it will kick back and you have to turn the steering wheel straight to correct it. This goes back and forth all day long. Now my question is, is this really the rack & pinion? Or is it something else? I am almost positive it is, but I just want some other opinions.

Yes I did search, and no I didn't find anything that was similiar to my problem

Also its on a 00 z24, I was lookin on car-part.com and they had FE0 and FE1 and FE2, what the hell is the difference???

Try checking the fluid it should be light colored, dip your finger in the fluid and look for any metal particles. Some metal will be present because of normal wear between the spool valve and the casing. If excessive metal seems to be present you may have a damaged rack.

Fe2 is the z24 suspension, stiffer and i beleive it has a rear sway bar.
Fe1 is the Base cavalier

check your subframe bolts.. when you break does it jerk at all or just while going down the road?
