Cant get dealers help....
Sunday, December 04, 2005 4:15 PM
and I dont know what to do anymore.

2004 Cavalier.

My radio reception isnt the best, has to deal with static.

Like it seems somedays it works great and there is no static. Somedays it seems there is static in some place of town and then in other parts there isnt any. Then sometimes it seems it has a ton of static whereever I go.

the dealer says he has a new 2005 car and his does it to. It is normal for the Chicago area he says. He asked if when I go home does it have static ( he saw my license plate)? I said it didnt actually and worked great there.

I dont know I see what is saying somewhat, I just have a hard time beliveing becase of the city I live in there will be more static.

Any suggestions?

ok, im actually in wheaton but i know i know 67.9 (i think thats the number) comes in really bad, and a few others do too, but not all the time. i'll check out 99.5 tonight when i head out to shoot some pool and get back to you.

here's a few things to think about

when u have static, are your rear defrosters on? when i have mine on my radio reception sux cuz the defrosters interfere w/ the radio signals

also how's the weather that day? certain weather conditions affects radio waves i.e. wind, temp, humidity,

i live in Pa, and my 96 sunfire does the same thing. i can go to work one morning, and all stations can be fine, i can go the next day, none work for $hit, the next a few may work, and a few may not, the next day they may switch, almost all vehicles that aren't built w/ an AM/FM will do that (sum newer higher dollar vehicle have an AM/FM booster in em)

Well actually its kind of odd you should mention that. Today the radio was fine. But there was basically no wind, and few clouds.
