oil light

weirdest thing... when i turn hard lefts my oil light comes on, but when i straighten out it goes back off. has anyone else had this problem or is it just like a messed up circuit?

Dude, check your oil. Its probably very low.

i have checked it, it only comes on when i turn though

Are you sure its the oil light and not the coolant light? The only sensor you have for oil is oil pressure, and turning shouldn't affect that unless your oil level is very low.

thats what it sounds like to me also.........I GM has a TSB for that with an Updated Coolant jug........the baffles inside it are designed differently to prevent this.....mine comes on when I Accelerate hard....

its the one that looks like an oil can, i can't remember which light it is exactly. just the little can with the drop. it only comes on when i make a hard left

read your owners manual this is normal. it talks about this same thing happening on hard turns, sitting on hills, and hard stops. it is because the way the oil pan is designed not because of oil level.

wrong, 2.4L Twin Cmas DO have an Oil LEVEL sensor. if u are taking VERY hard turns, w/ stock suspension (lotsof body roll) yes it may come on b/c all, or most of your oil is going to one sideof the pan, away from the sensor

Your Oil Pressure sending unit is failing. Replace it.
