First off I am fixing to get a new clutch kit (clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing) and alum. flywheel...... BUT, should I replace anything else? When I push on my clutch pedel it is almost like I am pushing on nothing. The clutch works but the pedel pushes in REALLY easy, there is no resistance (pressure) on the pedel. Like I said the pedel works like it is suposed to. The clutch releases where it should and engages where it should (as far as refrence to where or how far the pedel is pressed in or depressed). I also have an 87 Mustang 5.0 and that clutch will wear out your leg driving around town. But then if I get in my cavalier I feel like I am going to put the clutch pedel through the firewall because there just ain't to "tension" on the pedel. Will replaceing the clutch and flywheel (and pressure plate and throw out bearing) fix my problem, or is there anything else that I should change while I am at it? I heard somewhere that even though we have a hydrolic clutch that the clutch pedel does have a cable that can stretch and cause problems. Is this true? and if so, what kind of problems? What should I be replaceing while changing my clutch???

On my 98z the clutch pedal is soft with my act clutch and aluminum flywheel,its normal.We dont have clutch cables.While you have the transmission out,you might as well replace the rear main seal.
