Alright, sometime in September I installed my AEM CAI and the damn thing triggered a Check Engine response. I took it to the mechanic and he said it was triggering a "hot air" instance for the intake. The grommet on the intake sensor looks too small for the hole. We erased the trigger and the car ran better and was definately more responsive and seemed healthier. However, the light came back the next day. I then unhooked my battery to kill everything... Nothing changed. Now when the engine is cold and it's about 40 degrees out or less the engine bogs down tp 500RPM. Do I need a bigger grommet or do I need something else?
if you still have your stock equipment then do this
1. take intake off car
2. pull grommet from stock intake tubing
3. check to see if it fits in AEM tubing, if not enlarge hole so it fits
4. put stock grommet in AEM tube and insert IAC, reconnect and enjoy

Thats the thing... I did that... the hole in the AEM tubing looks too big... where can I get a bigger grommet and do you think it's what's making it bog down?
did you try it in the hole with the IAC in the grommet or just the grommet?
not too sure aboot the bog down, can't remember if my manual did it or not, don't think it did. maybe one of the eco guys has had an issue like so and can help you out, my brain is getting ready for a well deserved weekend of little use.
BTW off topic but are you down at Pope AFB in Fayettenam?

btw to everyone, thats not your IAC your taling about, the in your throttle body, what you are all talking about is the IAT. Intake Air Temperature sensor

no prob dude
though my CEL went away mysteriously, i was getting a code for that one and an evap code (i have another leak somewhere in the evap system but haven't had the chance to take care of it)
apparently if that sensor is malfunctioning it will cause auto trannies to shift real hard and whatnot but i honestly didn't notice any difference in power
