I am doing a oil change for my 99 sunfire, and I dont have my manual, never got one, and this is my first oil change with this car, and I have no idea how much oil goes in this beast. Its a 99 Sunifre, with a 2.2L....how much oil? I got 5 quarts...but am not sure if I should put in the whole 5 quarts....
Well the 2.4 engine only took 4 quarts, so I would say don't put in all 5 quarts. It's better to have too little oil than too much.
You can get specs at
AutoZone's site, but it doesn't seem to be working right now.

Put in 4, run it, then check the oil. Top off as necassary. Probably will take between 4 and 4.5 qts.
