does anyone know what the manual says or i am curious whats the best and why.
Owners manual states 5W30. Depending where you live depends on the weight you should use. If in colder climates, use 5W30. Warmer climates use 10W30. Some people here on the org use 10w30 even in colder climates. I use 10w30, but I live in a warmer climate.

I live in Richmond, VA and use 10W-30 Havoline. In the summer I add a quart to 1 1/2 qts Chevron Delo 400 15W-40 truck oil to 3 qts 10W-30. . For a good oil site check out www.bobistheoilguy.com. Have read that timing chains like thicker oils (clings to the chain better). The best used oil analysis I ever saw was with the 10W-30/truck oil combo.
God bless America.
