Tuesday, November 22, 2005 2:29 PM

I just bought a new z24 and the clutch was great, when i was driving home today all of a sudden the pedal just became really loose. i also have problems going into second gear if i pull on the shifter harder then normal (racing). I get a little bit of a grind

is this a hydo clutch like the 2.2 or a cable. Im new to these cars and i need help !!

Hydrolic clutch, used it from 95-05 and maybe even before that . A far as the grinding, it could be anumber of things. Could be bad slave cylinder, the clutch itself might be junk, your tranny could be bad if grinds into second, might have a bad master cylinder. Could be an number of things.

i think it's gonna be a slave cylinder. If it was leaking, it will make it not move the clutch plate far enough to completely disengage thus making gears grind when driving hard. if this went on for an extended period of time it may have fucl<ed ur synchro(s) up.

check to see if your slave cylinder blew out and go from there.

bleed the line first before you start replacing anything
