well i read the codes on my CEL today its been on since i bought it.. i did put an aftermarket intake but all sensors should be good anyway im getting
p0171 - System Too Lean
p0172 - System Too Rich
i just dont get how it can be LEAN AND RICH and the same time?..lol doesnt make much sence is there any sensors that i could replace ect? or has anyone else ever had this
ok well after looking up the codes even tho autozone said EXACTLY ON THE SCREEN

I'm guessing just replacing the 02 Sensor, could be going bad?

haha thats great.. i reset the code it hasn came back on what major problems have i had with my pieces of @!#$s? ive never taken my cars in before and they run fine.. i like my @!#$ perfect not driving aroujnd with a CEL n @!#$ half of u dont even care
Hey do you happen to have a turbo? Cause i my cav is turbocharged and i was getting both of those codes. For me its cause the fuel PSI was turnned up to 80PSI (thats where you get the best air/fuel ratio). Well i put it down and the codes went away. I hoped that helped with your problem.

no man no turbo. i reset the code it hasnt came back on since but we'll see i also have a CEL in my other car but it goes on and off n it isnt on right now so hopeing to find out wut that one is too i just dont get how it can be too rich or too lean

ive noticed on other 2.4l vehicles with that code that the vaccum line between the map sensor and intake manfoldcracking causing codes like that....check that......
ill check that out.. it still hasnt came back on.. yet
