Well I used to own a 01 sunfire, sold it and just yesterday I picked me up a 96 cavalier.
it's got 120,000 miles on it, but the car is in surprisngly good shape. very clean under the hood, very clean ex/interior.
My question is how long could I expect it to last? there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it.
also, while I'm at it, if you have any pics of 4 door 96 cavs w/ body kit I'd appreciate that. I don't know if it's worth it, just yet. =]
Congrats on the new car ( well new to you ) It will last as long as you take care of it, don't abuse it, and don't get hit. Basicly there is no reason it won't last you for a very long time.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Conrat's with the new car!
hope it lasts you awhile.. juss like Jackalope said .. i don't see why it wouldn't last you awhile they are good cars as long as the owners are good to them as wel...
best of luck keep us posted as to wat you decide to do .. oh and the 4 door cavs look
HAWT with the z24 kit on it..... well at least that's what i think....
I see Cavaliers in the junkyard with well over 200,000miles on them all the time in my many ventures to the junkyard. If you do the maintenance you should easily be able to get 200K.
God bless America.
Question for you, why did you get rid of an 01 car just to buy a 96.
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new

Well I sold my car about 4 monhts ago and was carless until just this friday. The sunfire was causing troubles, I'm sorry to say.
oh and about those body kits. I haven't been up to date on them since I was without car for so long.
If I remember correctly, the only sides that would fit a 96 4 door cav are the Bomex?
if you got any ideas about what would look nice on it, let me know =)
