Valve cover gasket (pain in the butt)
Saturday, November 19, 2005 8:36 PM
Hey guys ive got some leakage from the valve cover and i went to autozone to buy a new gasket today and i cant get the thing on for the life of me. The gasket doesnt stick in the grooves like it seems like it should.. Are some replacement gaskets better than others? I think i bought a fel-pro..

ive had no problems with felpro but i usually go OEM.....the gasket sits in the groove and thats about it....it it sits to loosly the apply some silicone to the groove and place the gasket in

I too had that problem once before. When i replaced my valve cover, cause i broke it, i replaced the gasket too.

Make sure its not upside down, But there should only be one way to put it in. Just start on one corner, and work it in inch by inch, all the way around.
