my 99cav with 2.2l auto is easy to start when engine is cold but hard to start when engine is warm, especially when harf or more hour after use, it takes long time cranking, i replaceed battery, intake air temp. sensor, engine coolant temp.sensor, new acdelco spark plug,..nothing changes. anyone meet this problem? any suggestion? thx a lot.
I dont know about your car but a 2000 Honda Civic today the reason for that same problem was the fuel pump.
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new
how you know that's the problem of fuel pump? how much it cost you to fix it?
Had this problem before on my old V-8 cars. Its the starter starting to crap out. What happens is that it gets hot resistance increases and the battery can't spin it. Pull it and have it checked at Advance or someplace that has a bench tester. I'd be willing t bet it takes a ton to spin it.
Good Luck
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Does your car ever want to die after it is started, if so then I would suggest something along fuel system such as the injectors. But I'd check that starter otherwise.
