its the gasket that is on the right side of the head and is behind the plate for the coil packs. autozone didnt know niether did the machine shop.
i have the 99 2200 its an auto if that matters(well the auto part)

i cant tell, i just went out and looked at my mom's 99 cav 2200, it some sort of cover on the side of the head, but the haynes book says nothin bout it. if it was an OHC engine i'd say its a Cam cover, but this is an OHV so... i gotta get a chilto book too, i hear they are more in-depth
