hey guys, i have a 97 Z24...recently the car started making a loud ticking noise when i was barely giving it throddle..we took it to a local shop and they thought it was the timing chain..so they replaced it..while they were at it they replaced the water pump..well it still made the noise..next they replaced the lifters..still makes the noise..as of now..this is where i am...my bill is up to a grand and the problem has gotten no where..
if anyone has any ideas of what the problem may be..please let me know..and ask the shop about it..all ideas and options welcome..thanks
i should have read over my post..

sounds like you floated a lifter, but i guess that's not it if the shop did head work. It could be a connecring rod bearing making the clicking noise.
i agree with the con rod, heard of them going before
