alright here is my problem, i have an annoying crackling/rattling noise coming from my ceiling in my 99 z24. when i push up on the ceiling with my hand or pull on the rear-view mirror the sound basically stops. it seems to be coming from the front section. has anyone had this before? im not sure if my windshiled is loose or there is something in the ceiling thats loose but its really annoying. does anyone have a suggestion? how difficult is it to remove the roofing material, with the little pegs break if i force them out? thanks guys

could be the wire to your dome light moving around, or possibly the stick up flaps they put up there falling down, and flopping. you can pull your headliner out by pulling out the tabs., removing the sun visors, and loosening the rear side panels, then just slide it forward towards the windshield.

i dont think its caused by the dome light....how would one know if there windshield is loose? i know it dosnt leak anyway. ah well, i guess i better take the thing apart when i have some time

k heres some questions.....1. how do you get that dumb dome light out? i jammed a screw driver in the slot and it losend one of the 3 notches but i cant get the other out becuse there is no screwdriver notch. 2. how do i loosen the pillars to get the headliner to fall forward toward the windsheild? the faberic is mashed in there pretty good. thanks
