hey whats up i have an 04 sunfire with the ecotec 5spd and my CEL is on and just started for a day it seemed to be driving fine and noticed that it would flash so i searched and i saw it was a misfire so i bought plugs and changed them thinking that it would solve it so i disconnected the battery for 15 mins to clear it off so i drove to school today and it came on again and i could hear the miss in my idle so i called my mom to set an appointment up at the dealership since i only have 13,500 miles on it and they couldnt get me in for another week so they told me to get a new coil which i was wondering if thats the problem and if something else could be wrong?
i got a problem like yours too..anyone?
anyone have a clue...i dont wanna drive it if its bad
us 2.4 guys have the same problem, except no flashing cel
since you replaced the plugs, most likely culprit is a bad coil pack.
hard part now is, figuring out which one it is

yea my car is at the dealership right now they work on it tomorrow morning and i get my AEM cold air intake for the car too tomorrow so ill be busy after work
Might want to change you gas as well. Mine runs like a pos on a brand of gas and runs prefict on another.
well found out my injectors are shot dont no to much about injectors but they are fixing it so that might be some of peoples problems .... ill post after i get it back
does anyone know how long it takes to put injectors in?
my 03 gets a random cel for cylender 4 misfire, however i never feel a misfire at all.....hope mine doesnt have the same prob as yours. as i basically threw my warranty in the trash because of nitrous

To the one poster I can tell you in about 15 seconds if a coil is bad, check the reistance should be between .6 and 2 ohms.
Secondly a misfire can be caused by so many things, plugs, wires, injectors, coil pack, low compression, valves, bad wires to the injectors, @!#$ the list goes on and on.
